Chris Gossett


Christian Gossett, who is also known as Chris Gossett in his Star Wars related work, is an artist. He has contributed his talents to a variety of companies, including Lucasfilm Ltd., Dark Horse Comics, and Activision. He is particularly recognized within the Star Wars fandom for his contributions to several story arcs within the Tales of the Jedi series, as well as for his artwork featured in numerous issues of the Star Wars Adventure Journals.

Biography

In 1993, Lucasfilm Ltd. engaged Chris Gossett, along with other artists, to produce the artwork for the inaugural Tales of the Jedi comic book line. Subsequently, Gossett was once again hired to contribute to the fourth Tales of the Jedi story arc, specifically Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Dark Lords of the Sith. His work involved creating the visual elements for the initial five issues of that particular arc. Additionally, Gossett collaborated with writer Kevin J. Anderson on Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Redemption, a story that explored the redemption of the character Ulic Qel-Droma for his actions during the Great Sith War.

Parallel to his involvement with Tales of the Jedi, Gossett also provided illustrations for a number of articles featured in the Star Wars Adventure Journal. He was also part of an interview alongside Tom Veitch and Dan Thorsland, in the Adventure Journal article titled Making Star Wars Comics Come Alive, which appeared in Star Wars Adventure Journal 2. Later on, some of his notable pieces were highlighted in The Best of the Star Wars Adventure Journal, Issues 1-4, where Gossett was selected as a featured artist.

In the early stages of his career, Gossett maintained contact with fellow Star Wars enthusiasts through discussions on the FidoNet Star Wars Echo.
