"Authors of the Expanded Universe" was a regular segment in the magazine Star Wars Insider, authored by Michael Kogge. This segment delved into the publication history of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, currently known as Star Wars Legends, by spotlighting its creators and contributors.
The recurring segment began with Star Wars Insider 139 and retained its title up to issue 156, excluding issues 144, 152, and 155. These particular issues featured similar pieces that explored different facets of Star Wars Legends, such as its genesis and its video game adaptations. The series concluded with an article published under the title "Legendary Authors".
From Star Wars Insider 157 onward, the magazine continued to produce in-depth articles concerning the creation of Star Wars Legends content; however, these articles were presented as standalone features, and the "Legendary Authors" title was discontinued.
