"Authors of the Expanded Universe," a regular segment in Star Wars Insider magazine, was penned by Michael Kogge. It delved into the publishing history of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, now recognized as Star Wars Legends, by highlighting its authors and other contributors.
Appearing first in Star Wars Insider 139, the feature maintained its title up to issue 156, with the exceptions of 144, 152, and 155. These particular issues offered similar explorations, but focused on different facets of Star Wars Legends, such as its beginnings and video game adaptations. The series' final installment was published under the title "Legendary Authors."
From Star Wars Insider 157 onward, while the magazine continued to present feature articles that explored the creation of Star Wars Legends content, the recurring "Legendary Authors" title was discontinued, and the articles were published as independent pieces.
