The Empress Teta system, a star system situated in the Deep Core's Koros sector, encompassed the planet Empress Teta and its satellite, the moon Atale. Millennia prior to the New Republic Era, the Krath seized control of carbonite mines located within this system. They subsequently conquered the entire system, only to later have the Galactic Republic wrest it back from Krath dominion.
The Qel-Droma Epics state that the system was originally called the Koros system. Its name was changed following its unification under the rule of the mythical Empress Teta.
