The esteemed Jedi Master known as Quinlan Vos utilized a privately owned Jedi starfighter during the initial weeks of the conflict known as the Clone Wars. This war pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 22 BBY. In the days after a bombing occurred on the planet of Cato Neimoidia which is located in the Colonies, Vos's starfighter was being readied for takeoff from a docking bay on Coruscant, a planet in the Core Worlds. Vos declined assistance when a droid came forward to aid in loading replacement components into his starfighter's equipment compartment. Vos then secured the hatch, but not before winking at Obi-Wan Kenobi, a fellow Jedi Master, who was across the hangar. By 19 BBY, Vos had transitioned to flying an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor.
