R4-F5 was an astromech droid of the R4-P series, displaying a blue-green and gray color scheme. It was permanently installed within the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor piloted by Jedi Master Plo Koon. As the Clone Wars drew to a close, this droid met its death on the planet Cato Neimoidia, alongside its master. Their ship was obliterated by Clone Captain Jag as part of the execution of Order 66.
Belonging to the R-series of astromech droid models, R4-F5 served as navigator and copilot aboard Plo Koon's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptorstarfighter. Consequently, it was equipped with only a dome head, rather than a complete body. This dome was characterized by its color: blue-green, accented with gray panels.
Early in the Clone Wars, Jedi Master, and General, Plo Koon piloted the Blade of Dorin, a Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor, accompanied by the astromech droid R7-D4. At some later point, Koon transitioned to flying a Delta-7 model, partnered with R4-F5.
During the Battle of Cato Neimoidia near the end of the Clone Wars, Koon and R4-F5 flew together in his Delta-7. With the activation of Order 66 by Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, Koon's clone wingmen destroyed the starfighter, resulting in the death of both the droid and Plo Koon.
