Plo Koon's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor

In the year 19 BBY, during the events of the Battle of Cato Neimoidia, Plo Koon, a Jedi Master, piloted a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor. This vessel's visual design mirrored that of the Delta-7B starfighter he had used earlier in the Clone Wars, known as the Blade of Dorin. Sadly, Koon's Delta-7 met its end when his clone wingmen turned on him, killing him during the execution of Order 66. The integrated astromech droid R4-F5 was also destroyed.

Description

The Delta-7 of Jedi Master Plo Koon featured a color scheme reminiscent of the Delta-7B starfighter he previously utilized, sporting a blue base with converging white stripes. The astromech droid, R4-F5, was an integral part of the starfighter, serving as both navigator and copilot for Koon.

History

Plo Koon patrols escorted by three V-wings.

During the initial phases of the Clone Wars, Jedi General Plo Koon, accompanied by the astromech droid R7-D4, piloted a Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor that had been gifted to him by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. At some point, Koon transitioned to using a Delta-7, paired with R4-F5.

In 19 BBY, not long before the Clone Wars concluded, Koon was piloting his Delta-7 during the Battle of Cato Neimoidia. The [starfighter](/article/starfighter], including its integrated astromech, was obliterated by Koon's own clone wingmen after they received Order 66 from the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, resulting in killing Plo Koon.
