"Raid on Coruscant" marks the sixth installment in the LEGO short film series known as LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles. This episode was first broadcast on September 6, 2014, via Disney XD Canada. After the Emperor leverages information gleaned from the recovered Holocrons to unleash devastating attacks on planets allied with the Rebellion, Luke conceives a risky plan: a raid targeting Coruscant to reclaim the Holocrons.
The Galactic Empire, utilizing intel from the Holocrons, dispatches Imperial Star Destroyers along with TIE fighters to invade Naboo, subjecting its cities to bombardment. Consequently, the Rebel Alliance, including Wedge Antilles, is compelled to abandon their base, relocating to Kashyyyk, the Wookiee home planet. Concurrently, on Dagobah, Jedi Master Yoda and the Force ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi contemplate the Empire's acquisition of the holocrons. They are then visited by the Force ghost of Master Qui-Gon Jinn, inadvertently contacted during an attempt to reach Jek-14. Yoda then asks Qui-Gon to open a jar of pickles.
In a parallel sequence, Jek-14 journeys to Tatooine aboard his starfighter to support Luke Skywalker and his comrades. While in transit, Darth Vader attempts to contact Galactic Emperor Palpatine, only to be informed by Imperial Ruling Council member Mas Amedda that Palpatine is preoccupied. Upon the Emperor's appearance, Vader reports the subjugation of Naboo and seeks direction on the next target. The Emperor reveals that Luke has been spotted on Tatooine, his world of origin. Vader then experiences another awkward moment when the buttons distort his voice.
At Mos Eisley's Cantina on Tatooine, Luke and the other Heroes of Yavin convene to address the recent setback on Naboo. Princess Leia recounts Wedge's narrow escape. Han Solo emphasizes that as long as the Emperor is in pursuit of the holocrons, nowhere in the galaxy offers them sanctuary. Luke champions a direct assault on Coruscant, the Imperial capital. Han and Leia deem this too risky, suggesting refuge on Tatooine. Soon after, an AT-AT walker and stormtroopers attack the cantina. Simultaneously, Jek-14 approaches Mos Eisley in his starfighter, only to find the town under Imperial assault.
Luke and his allies are trapped by an AT-AT commanded by Darth Vader. The rebels evade the walker, only to encounter Jabba the Hutt, his entourage, and numerous Luke admirers. Jek-14 joins up with Luke and his companions, employing the Force to collapse an arch, creating a barrier against their pursuers. Vader's AT-AT catches up, striking Jek-14 with a laser blast. Vader demands their surrender, but C-3PO and R2-D2, having commandeered the Millennium Falcon, damage the walker. The rebels escape Tatooine aboard the Falcon before Vader's AT-AT can maneuver.
Returning to Dagobah, Yoda and Kenobi reflect on the rebels' close call with Darth Vader, while Jinn successfully opens Yoda's pickle jar. On Coruscant, Vader reports that Jek-14 is aiding the rebels. Despite the rebels' escape, Palpatine remains confident in their eventual capture. After briefly playing with several holocrons, Palpatine and Vader proceed to the now-vacant Galactic Senate, recently dissolved by Palpatine. Palpatine dismisses Senator Yaun and then assaults him with Force lightning. After viewing a holocron of the Battle of Kashyyyk, Palpatine deduces that the Wookiees are sheltering them and orders an attack on Kashyyyk.
The Rebel Alliance regroups on Kashyyyk, where Luke is adamant about confronting the Emperor and advocates departing as soon as Chewbacca repairs the Falcon. However, Chewie inadvertently damages the ship's power coupling. Jek-14 uses the Force to repair the Falcon, earning Han's approval. After viewing a holocron recording of his training with Kenobi, Vader orders the fleet to depart Coruscant and prepare for an assault on Kashyyyk. Back on Kashyyyk, the rebel leader Mon Mothma outlines the rebels' attack strategy. Uncertain of the holocrons' location, the rebels will target the Jedi Temple's Holocron Vaults and the Chancellor's Suite in the Senate building. C-3PO is unable to assist due to having been memory wiped by Senator Bail Organa during the prior Jedi mission to steal the holocrons from Coruscant. Jek-14 offers to join the strike team.
Leia is unable to produce a complete set of the plans since she has misplaced the disc with a recording of her message to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Han remarks about the Star Wars galaxy lacking digital technology. Luke senses that the Empire is preparing to attack Kashyyyk. Rebel starfighters travel to Coruscant via hyperspace and narrowly avoid Darth Vader's fleet of Star Destroyers. The rebel strike team led by Luke and Jek-14 lands on the grounds of the unguarded Jedi Temple while C-3PO remains with the rebel commanders Leia, Mon Mothma, and Admiral Ackbar on Kashyyyk. C-3PO offers to sacrifice his spareparts if R2-D2 sustains damage during the mission. Leia points out that none of his parts fit the astromech droid. Meanwhile, Vader discovers that the rebels have left Kashyyyk.
Upon arriving on Coruscant, Luke's strike team is confronted by members of the Emperor's Royal Guard, but Jek-14 subdues them with his cybernetic arm, earning Luke's respect. Simultaneously on Kashyyyk, Vader and his stormtroopers infiltrate the rebel base while Mon Mothma and C-3PO take cover. The rebels narrowly evade capture when the Emperor contacts Vader, informing him of the attack on the Jedi Temple. In orbit above Coruscant, the Rebel X-wing pilots, including Purple Leader, bicker over trivial matters, before being ambushed by a swarm of TIE fighters led by Darth Vader, piloting another TIE Advanced starfighter. At the Jedi Temple, Jek-14 and R2 are unable to locate the holocrons and are attacked by a librarian droid.
Han and Luke then assault Palpatine's Suite in their airspeeder and knock two Royal Guards out of the window. Luke, wielding a lightsaber, and Han, with a blaster, confront the Emperor, only to find Mas Amedda in his place. They are then attacked with Force lightning by the Emperor, who had been concealed behind a curtain. Palpatine confronts them, mocking their intelligence and mistaking Han for Luke and vice-versa, prompting Luke to retort that Palpatine is not smart either. Meanwhile, Vader decimates the rebel X-wings, destroying Purple Leader's starfighter. At the Temple Vaults, R2 disables the librarian droid with a holocron. Back at the Chancellor's Suite, Luke insults the Emperor by telling him that he has "yellow teeth." Palpatine throws him out of the window but the Jedi manages to cling on to an airspeeder full of tourists.
Palpatine then transports the remaining holocrons on a repulsorlift platform into the Grand Convocation Chamber, only to be surrounded by Han, Chewie, and several Wookiee warriors. Luke joins them, demanding that the Emperor surrender the holocrons. Palpatine uses the Force to levitate the holocrons, threatening to destroy them. Luke responds by daring the Emperor to destroy the holocrons. This surprises the other rebels, Wookiees, and even Masters Yoda, Kenobi, and Qui-Gon on Dagobah. Luke explains that the holocrons are more valuable to the Emperor than to him and the rebels. At Luke's signal, Jek-14 uses his droid arm to hurl a powerful Force blast at Palpatine and the holocrons. The holocrons are destroyed and Palpatine is hurled through the roof of the Convocation Chamber. The rebels depart Coruscant on the Falcon while Vader lands at the Jedi Temple. Vader discovers his master hanging from the spire of the highest tower in the Temple complex. To the Emperor's embarrassment, he has lost his pants and his underwear is showing.
On Dagobah, the Jedi Masters reflect on Luke's decision to sacrifice the holocrons to prevent their misuse. Qui-Gon encourages Yoda to train Luke, while also noting that Yoda needs to improve his own maturity when it comes to opening his own pickle jar. The rebels and their Wookiee allies celebrate their victory on Kashyyyk. Luke is saddened by the destruction of the holocrons until Jek-14 reveals that R2-D2 managed to retrieve one. Luke activates the holocron and views a recording of his father Anakin Skywalker practicing with his lightsaber. At this point, Luke is unaware that Anakin and Darth Vader are the same individual.
