In the year 12 BBY, not long after Fortress Vader was built on Mustafar, Criakan led a raid against the stronghold, accompanied by a group of Southern Mustafarians. This group successfully infiltrated the fortress, seizing Vaneé; however, Darth Vader swiftly eliminated them all. Sometime after this event, Vaneé shared this account with Rebel Alliance Commander Lina Graf, who at the time was trying to get away from the castle.
