The Republic Seal Mountain represented a mountain located on the moon known as Iktotch. Upon the prediction of the arrival of scouts dispatched by the Galactic Republic by the moon's inhabitants, the Iktotchi came to the conclusion that solidifying their standing within the galactic society would be advantageous for their own galactic status. They proceeded to carve the Republic crest directly into the mountain's facade. The Iktotchi were confident that this welcoming gesture would both captivate and satisfy the Republic ambassadors, subsequently leading to an invitation for the Iktotchi to become part of the Republic.
