The shipyards of the Republic were shipyards utilized by the Galactic Republic located on the Core Worlds planet of Hosnian Prime during the time of the High Republic Era. In 232 BBY, the cutting-edge and newly designed vessel, the Longbeam cruiser known as Aurora IX, was constructed at these shipyards to serve the Republic Defense Coalition. During that year, Captain Finial Bright of the Republic Defense Coalition, while on duty aboard the Aurora IX in the Outer Rim's Hetzal system, made a mental observation regarding the cruiser's creation at the Republic shipyards.
Charles Soule's 2021 novel, The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, which is part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia endeavor, included a reference to the Republic shipyards.
