Reug Yucon

Reug Yucon, a Bothan male scientist specializing in trans-system and galactic atmospherics, lived prior to the Clone Wars era. His life unfolded in the years leading up to that conflict.

In 26 BBY, Reug Yucon embarked on a journey to the planet Haariden. He was accompanied by fellow scientists Tic Verdun, Joveh D'a Alin, Fort Turan, and Talie Heathe. The purpose of their expedition was to study the geological and volcanic activities on Haariden, map the planet globally for the mineral titanite, and assess the environmental impact on the local ecosystem.

However, their research took an unexpected turn when a fierce civil war erupted, trapping the scientists. Their ship suffered a malfunction, leaving them stranded. While stranded in the countryside, they managed to send a distress signal to the Galactic Senate, the organization that sponsored their mapping mission. They also attempted to mediate a truce between the warring factions on the planet. The Senate, concerned that the scientists might be taken hostage or used as leverage, requested assistance from the Jedi.

Ultimately, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Soara Antana, and Darra Thel-Tanis discovered the scientists. The Jedi High Council had dispatched them on a rescue mission to the war-torn planet. The Jedi protected the scientists from a deserted village stronghold (in war-besieged Tenuuri), guiding them through dangerous, war-ravaged terrain, until they were all able to escape the planet.
