Rey's speeder
Rey's speeder, a vehicle constructed entirely by Rey, was a product of her time on her homeworld of Jakku. Its creation involved the use of salvaged components gathered from the starship graveyards of Jakku, Niima Outpost, and through trade with Teedo traders. By combining elements of both a speeder and a swoop, Rey fashioned a machine that maximized the utility of both military surplus and civilian equipment. This speeder was exceptionally fast and possessed a substantial cargo capacity, making it well-suited for extended scavenging expeditions.
Design
Powertrain

The propulsion for Rey's speeder was provided by a pair of powerful turbojet engines, salvaged from a derelict cargo hauler. Rey opted for a vertically stacked engine configuration, securing them to amplified intakes originating from an Imperial gunship. Further enhancements included racing swoop afterburners and an array of repulsorlifts obtained from wrecked X-wing starfighters. When carrying a light load, the speeder's powerful engine and repulsorlifts allowed it to reach altitudes comparable to a dedicated airspeeder.
Protection
Rey's speeder incorporated a rider authentication system that required a valid fingerprint for activation. The wiring also allowed Rey to electrify the speeder's frame, delivering a shock to any potential thieves or scavengers while unattended. Furthermore, the speeder's unusual design made it difficult to control for anyone unfamiliar with its unique handling characteristics.
Behind the scenes
Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, released in 2015, featured Rey's speeder. Before the film's theatrical debut, the speeder made its first appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Immersive 360 Experience, a promotional video created solely for Facebook.
