Rior, a planet found within the Outer Rim Territories, could be located at coordinates N-18 on the Standard Galactic Grid. It resided along a hyperspace route, providing a link between the planets Kabal and Sevarcos. The Riorian Loje Nella, who served in the court of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, hailed from Rior, making it her homeworld.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the planet Rior made its debut in the French edition of Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z, a 2017 reference book. The celestial body initially appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity, specifically within Wanted by Cracken, a 1993 sourcebook for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, which was authored by Louis J. Prosperi and brought to publication by West End Games.
