The Rite of Hospitality, a time-honored custom observed on the icy planet of Thelj during the High Republic Era, granted visitors the privilege of seeking warmth within a dwelling for a single hour, unless the host extended a further invitation. In an effort to pilfer a Force artifact from the Graf family compound located on Thelj, Yana Ro, a member of the Path of the Open Hand, called upon the Rite of Hospitality to gain entry for herself and her fellow travelers, Kor Plouth and Treze. Nevertheless, they were double-crossed by the Mother, Elecia Zeveron, and subsequently attacked by the Graf family's security personnel. Yana managed to flee aboard Radicaz Dobbs's vessel, the Scupper, but her comrades were slain by the guards.
