The Rock Wizard, a wizard of significant power, made his home on the Forest Moon of Endor. His dwelling was a massive fortress that dominated a considerable area. A Jinda tribe, known as the Travelling Jindas, established themselves beneath the Rock Wizard's fortress, and he permitted them to cultivate the land, utilizing their pack animals for plowing. In exchange, the tribe provided the wizard with sustenance, offering him Jinda delicacies to savor. The Rock Wizard held his people in high regard and shielded them from external dangers. The Jindas, in turn, were pleased to consider the Rock Wizard's land their home, content with the bond they had forged with the wizard. However, this amicable relationship came to an abrupt end during one of the Rock Wizard's meals. While consuming a Jinda dish, a tooth became detached from the Rock Wizard's jaw. Overwhelmed by intense discomfort, the wizard immediately suspected the Jindas of attempting to poison him. Employing his considerable abilities, he banished the Jindas from the land, pursuing them with enormous stones.
The Jindas were then compelled to maintain a constant state of motion. Should they attempt to remain in a location for an extended period, the boulders would emerge from the earth and assault them, compelling the Jindas to resume their travels. During one such encounter, the boulders pursued the Jindas to an Ewok tribe situated in Bright Tree Village. To reciprocate an earlier act of kindness from the Jindas, the Ewok Shaman Logray and his apprentice Teebo resolved to assist in ending the curse. Harnessing their abilities, the two Ewoks directed the forest creatures in binding the boulders with lengths of tribe rope, securing them to the ground. However, the Rock Wizard detected that his powers were being impeded, and he arrived at the village with the intention of punishing those who had aided the Jindas. The wizard initiated an attack on the village but halted when he noticed a familiar rock suspended around the neck of the Ewok Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka. The Rock Wizard's missing tooth had been salvaged by merchants and sold as a good luck charm. The wizard demanded the return of his tooth, reinserting it into his mouth. The replaced tooth alleviated the wizard's pain, and he promptly forgave the Jindas, requesting their return to their home beneath his fortress.

The Rock Wizard was an individual who found himself residing on the Forest Moon of Endor. Possessing remarkable Force-sensitive capabilities, he could manipulate his surroundings, creating vast chasms on the surface of the moon. His reputation for wielding such powers was widespread, and other magical beings on Endor recognized his name. Prior to 3 ABY, the Rock Wizard erected a formidable fortress to serve as his base of operations. This structure stood in an area devoid of trees, commanding the surrounding terrain. In the plains encircling his home, a Jinda tribe, the Travelling Jindas, lived by cultivating the land, employing their beasts of burden. The Rock Wizard tolerated the Jindas, overseeing their well-being and safeguarding them from external threats.
In exchange for his benevolence, the Jindas provided the wizard with food, preparing elaborate meals for their benefactor. The Rock Wizard held these Jinda dishes in high esteem, valuing them above all others. The bond between the Jindas and the Rock Wizard strengthened over time, with each party offering a service to the other. However, the Rock Wizard's initial amicable feelings towards his charges eventually dissolved. During one of the Rock Wizard's meals, the Jinda leader Bondo, accompanied by several other Jindas including Trebla and Chituhr, presented the Rock Wizard with a dessert, observing him as he partook of the dish. However, the outcome was not what the Jindas anticipated. As the wizard consumed the dessert, a tooth from his lower jaw became dislodged, causing him immense pain. In his agony, the Rock Wizard placed the blame squarely on the Jindas, accusing them of attempting to poison him.
The Rock Wizard drove the Jindas from his fortress and off the land, employing his powers to summon heavy boulders that assailed the Jindas. He cursed the Jinda tribe, forcing them into a perpetual state of movement. Should they attempt to settle in a new location, the boulders summoned by the wizard would attack, compelling them to pack up and continue their travels. To avoid these attacks, the Jindas were careful not to remain in one place for too long, typically departing after a single night. This constant movement earned the Jindas a reputation as aimless wanderers, and they were viewed with disdain by other species inhabiting Endor. To compensate for their lack of a stable home, the Jindas became entertainers, relying on gifts from their audiences to sustain their nomadic lifestyle.

As the Jindas continued their ceaseless journey, the Rock Wizard's tooth disappeared. Eventually, a group of formidable traders discovered it, delivering it to their fellow trader, Mooth. The tooth was displayed in Mooth's shop where he advertised it as a lucky stone, kept on a string. Unaware that the stone was actually a tooth, Mooth sold the "lucky stone" to Wicket W. Warrick in exchange for a bag of monmon seeds. Despite the derision of Wicket's fellow Ewoks, who dismissed the stone as "just a rock," Wicket gifted the stone necklace to his sweetheart, Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, who expressed her gratitude for the present.
Meanwhile, in a nearby section of the forest, the Jindas were relaxing by a stream. Bondo enjoyed the location and neglected to depart after their customary one-day stay. Trebla cautioned his leader about the curse, but Bondo disregarded the advice, deciding to remain another night. However, the warning proved accurate, and several boulders summoned by the Rock Wizard rose up to attack the Jindas. Bondo promptly ordered a retreat, and the Jindas fled from the Rock Wizard's boulders. Their escape ultimately led them to encounter the Ewoks who had left Mooth's shop and been captured by Skandits, a race of sentient rodents inhabiting the forest moon. Having previously met the Ewoks, Bondo and his tribe assisted in their escape, returning them to their home at Bright Tree Village.

Chief Chirpa expressed his gratitude to the Jindas for their assistance and permitted them to stay at their village. However, the Jindas' failure to continue their travels meant that the Rock Wizard's boulders once again descended upon them. Seeking to repay the Jindas for their help, the Ewoks sheltered the tribe in the heights of their treetop village, keeping them out of reach of the Rock Wizard's attacks. However, the Jindas were stranded in the trees, unable to return to the forest floor, as the Rock Wizard's boulders awaited them below. After Bondo explained the curse to the Ewok village, Shaman Logray agreed to assist in stopping the boulders from pursuing the Jindas. Taking his apprentice Teebo, the two Ewoks invoked the power of the Light Spirit, summoning several forest creatures to the location. The animals tethered the boulders to the ground with long lengths of rope. When the Jindas returned to the ground, the rocks were unable to attack, nullifying the Rock Wizard's revenge.
As the Jindas celebrated Logray's triumph, the Ewok shaman urged caution, warning them that the Rock Wizard would not easily abandon his desire for revenge. Despite Bondo's disregard for Logray's warnings, the land abruptly began to vibrate violently. The Rock Wizard emerged from a fissure in the ground, demanding to know who had circumvented his curse on the Jindas. Logray confronted the powerful wizard, asserting that his actions against the Jindas had been misguided. However, this enraged the Rock Wizard, and he responded by attacking the village.
Manipulating his surroundings, the Rock Wizard hurled rocks at Logray, knocking him aside. The Ewoks fled in terror as the wizard employed his powers to tear columns of dirt from the ground, destroying an Ewok hut. However, the wizard was still suffering from the pain of his missing tooth, and he continued to wince during his attack. Fearing for her people, the young Princess Kneesaa ran to the Rock Wizard, still wearing the lucky stone around her neck, and pleaded with him to cease his assault. Gazing down at the small Ewok, the wizard immediately recognized his missing tooth. The Rock Wizard halted his attack and begged the girl to return what was rightfully his. Upon regaining possession of his tooth, the wizard slipped it back into its socket, instantly relieving his agony.

Overjoyed that his pain had subsided, the Rock Wizard erupted into a hearty laugh, much to the dismay of the Ewoks who had narrowly escaped his attack. The Rock Wizard immediately realized the error of his ways in blaming the Jindas and apologized, declaring that they should return to their homeland beneath his fortress. Despite their lingering apprehension over the wizard's previous attack, the group laughed off the encounter. To demonstrate his goodwill towards the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village, the Rock Wizard gently held Wicket and Kneesaa in his hands as the Jindas celebrated their freedom from the curse.
The Rock Wizard was an individual prone to impulsivity, making drastic decisions based on initial assumptions. Upon losing his tooth and experiencing intense pain, he immediately concluded that the Jindas were responsible, exiling them from his land and relentlessly pursuing them with large boulders. When this assumption proved incorrect, and his thirst for revenge was revealed to be unfounded, the Rock Wizard dismissed the misunderstanding with laughter, seemingly devoid of any remorse for his actions.
The Rock Wizard was a massive being of mineral origins, dwarfing the small Ewoks, standing approximately four times their average height. He used his immense stature to intimidate the smaller Ewoks, making wild gestures as he uprooted the terrain and destroyed an Ewok hut. When employing his powers, particularly during these rage-fueled attacks, the Rock Wizard's eyes glowed a vibrant red. This enhanced his fearsome demeanor, causing the Ewoks to scatter in his presence. After replacing his tooth and alleviating his pain, the Rock Wizard's eyes reverted to their normal blue color.

The Rock Wizard was a powerful sorcerer, easily overpowering the Shaman Logray and confronting the Ewok and Jinda tribes with relative ease. His arsenal of powers included telekinesis, enabling him to lift and manipulate several boulders, using them to pursue the Jindas. During his attack on Bright Tree Village, the wizard employed this power to hurl rocks at Logray and other Ewoks, knocking them aside.
The Rock Wizard also possessed the ability to rend the land, creating deep ravines. When attacking a hut in the village, he lifted a massive mound of dirt, forming a pillar of soil that crushed the Ewok house. The Ewoks within the hut narrowly escaped before the structure was obliterated.
Bob Carrau created the Rock Wizard as the primary antagonist in the seventh episode of the first season of Ewoks, "The Curse of the Jindas". This marked the second appearance of the Jindas, a group of entertainers who had debuted in the preceding episode, "The Travelling Jindas." In this episode, the Jindas were described as "aimless wanderers," but the reason for their constant movement remained unexplained. The Rock Wizard's appearance in this episode clarified why the Jindas rarely remained in one place for long. Neither the Jindas nor the Rock Wizard reappeared in the Ewoks cartoon.
