Sabla-Mandibu

Sabla-Mandibu, a distinguished Jedi Master belonging to the Miraluka species and of female gender, served on the Council of Reconciliation and was a celebrated Seer within the Jedi Order. In the era prior to the Ruusan Reformation, Master Mandibu was stationed at the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant, where her expertise in the analysis of holocrons was highly valued. During her tenure, she made significant contributions to the Order, notably as one of the authors of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, a key guidebook used at the Temple. Master Mandibu's written wisdom, particularly concerning the Sense and Alter abilities and their utilization through the Force, left a lasting legacy for generations of Jedi to come.

Biography

Like other Jedi of her time, Master Mandibu dedicated herself to the Order throughout the New Sith Wars and participated in the restoration of the Jedi academy following the Ruusan Reformations. Post-war, she received an appointment to the Council of Reconciliation, where she acted as an intermediary between the Galactic Republic and various political entities.

When her fellow Masters proposed the creation of a guide to Jedi life, Master Mandibu accepted the task of writing three chapters for the project. With the intent of highlighting the qualities of Jedi Consulars and providing an in-depth explanation of the Jedi's Sense and Alter abilities, Master Mandibu's insights were preserved in the book for future Jedi.

Behind the scenes

Daniel Wallace, the author of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, shared a list that detailed the species and genders of the in-universe authors of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, though this information was not included in the final version. According to this list, Master Mandibu was identified as a Miraluka of female gender.

The name Sabla-Mandibu is a tuckerization that pays homage to Mandy Bulat, a friend of Daniel Wallace and a former employee of the Star Wars news website TheForce.net.
