Saedhe

Saedhe, a male Human, formerly served as a Customs Inspector within the structure of the Galactic Republic.

Biography

After dedicating numerous years to the Republic's service, Saedhe received an invitation to become an investigator for the Khoonda Militia situated on Dantooine. It was there that he encountered Meetra Surik while delving into a potential homicide case. A farmer from the Western Fringe, en route to Khoonda with a shipment of atmospheric sensors, tragically perished in what appeared to be an accident. Saedhe's suspicions were aroused, as he found it improbable that Kinrath could have been responsible for the farmer's demise. Subsequently, Bao-Dur raised concerns, pointing out that atmospheric sensors are typically employed for seasonal data collection, which seemed incongruous with Dantooine's temperate climate, suggesting their suitability for tectonically active or unstable terrains. Saedhe initially maintained that he required the sensors due to their high value. However, the truth was that these sensors concealed a hidden surveillance device, a discovery made by Bao-Dur. When confronted by Surik, Saedhe confessed to utilizing the sensors to gather intelligence on communications between Azkul, his mercenaries, and a mysterious second party, suspected to be the Exchange. He offered her 5,000 credits as compensation, but Surik accepted only 3,000, reasoning that Saedhe had a greater need for the remaining funds.

Behind the scenes

Within Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, if Bao-Dur is absent during the conversation with Saedhe, the player remains oblivious to any suspicious activity. The player has the option to return the sensors and receive 3,000 credits. A player possessing a sufficiently high Awareness skill can persuade him to increase the payment to 4,000 credits. Conversely, with G0-T0 present in the party, the player can successfully convince Saedhe to provide 5,000 credits. This action does not influence the player's moral alignment. Interestingly, G0-T0 mistakenly refers to Saedhe using feminine pronouns.

As an alternative, informing Terena Adare about the situation leads to Zherron's demotion from his position as head of the guard, with Berun Modrul assuming the role (until the mercenary assault on Khoonda), although this course of action yields neither an alignment shift nor the promised reward from Saedhe.

Furthermore, threatening to expose the truth to Azkul prompts Saedhe to declare his intention to alert the militia. Subsequently, the player can choose to assassinate him, resulting in a reward of 5,000 credits and a gain of influence with HK-47 if he is a member of the party.

Saedhe was initially designed with a distinctive white head model, which was later replaced with a more commonplace old black male model in the final version of the game. The original model can be observed in the game's restoration mod, more commonly referred to as "The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod," or TSLRCM.
