Saku

Saku was a human female who resided in the Meevai Village settlement on Keelia in the era following the Clone Wars. She had a sister named Haru and was the granddaughter of the current village chief.

Biography

Lord Izuma, a local marauder who had seized control of a significant portion of the abandoned Separatist weaponry on Keelia, at one point demanded Saku's grandfather as a guarantee to prevent unnecessary conflict with the people of the village. Despite Saku's persistent objections, Haru and her fiancé Asu both volunteered to take his place. The wedding ceremony of Haru and Asu occurred the evening before their scheduled capture. As the villagers gathered for a meal that evening, Saku and several others departed in anger when Haru refused to reconsider her decision.

On the day after the wedding, Haru and Asu surrendered to Izuma. Saku and some other villagers had secretly planned an ambush targeting the raiders, but their scheme was unsuccessful. As Izuma prepared to execute Saku for her role as the leader, the Jedi known as F intervened to rescue her. Valco, F's companion, annihilated Izuma's ship, thereby rendering his battle droids useless. In the resulting pandemonium, Izuma's accomplices scattered. Izuma then seized Haru as a hostage. F swiftly struck down the raider, successfully rescuing Haru, Saku, and the remaining villagers.

Some time later, Saku, along with other villagers, expressed their gratitude to F for her assistance and bid farewell as the Jedi departed from the planet.

Personality and traits

Saku possessed a rebellious and headstrong nature. She attempted to dissuade her sister from sacrificing herself to Izuma and his raiders, instead advocating for resistance through combat. Upon witnessing Haru's calm acceptance of her fate, Saku resolved to take action herself, devising a strategy to assault their adversaries. She demonstrated effective leadership, successfully mobilizing several other villagers to support her cause. She styled her blonde hair in a ponytail and wore green earrings.

Behind the scenes

Saku made her debut in the Star Wars: Visions short film titled "The Village Bride." Mariya Ise provided her voice in the original Japanese version, while Stephanie Sheh voiced her in the English dubbed version.
