Salliche, an agriworld situated within the Core Worlds region of the galaxy, was responsible for supplying crops to other planets in the vicinity, including Coruscant. During a period when Norkronian raiders were devastating Salliche, its Senator, Bulgeski, requested intervention from the Republic Guard of the Galactic Republic. However, shortly thereafter, he opposed providing similar assistance to other worlds in 42 BBY. Later, in 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire successfully conducted operations on Salliche, reporting zero civilian casualties.
The planet Salliche, an agriworld, could be found within the Core Worlds of the galaxy, specifically at coordinates K-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid. It served as the home of the Sallichen people.

Salliche was a member of the Galactic Republic, with representation in the Galactic Senate provided by the Sallichen Senator Bulgeski. Serving as the Core Worlds' primary source of agriculture, it furnished crops to planets such as Coruscant, the Republic's capital. When Norkronian raiders inflicted devastation on the world, Bulgeski appealed to the Senate, requesting intervention by the Republic Guard.
Shortly after, in 42 BBY, Jedi Master Dooku addressed the senate on behalf of the Jedi Order, advising against cuts to the Republic's trade route defense program. However, Bulgeski voiced opposition to the Jedi's attempt to influence the senate. Dooku then reminded those present of Bulgeski's recent request for the Republic Guard to aid his own planet and suggested that the residents of the Outer Rim Territories should receive the same protection. Bulgeski argued that Salliche was important because it provided for the other Core Worlds, but Dooku retorted that there were agriworlds in the Outer Rim that could provide the same support and perhaps it was their competition that Salliche feared. Bulgeski called this a scandalous accusation before Supreme Chancellor Kalpana dismissed Dooku's advice.
In 14 BBY, a frigate within the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire, the Republic's successor, shared its name with Salliche. In 3 ABY, the Empire carried out operations on Salliche, claiming victory with no civilian casualties. This was reported on HoloNet News by reporter Dorna Parros, who described the operations as an unqualified success.
In current Star Wars canon, Salliche was initially referenced in the 2019 audiobook Dooku: Jedi Lost, penned by Cavan Scott. Its origins lie in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where the world was first mentioned in the magazine Star Wars Adventure Journal 1 in February 1994 in the short stories "Chessa's Doom" by Peter M. Schweighofer and "First Contact" by Timothy Zahn.
