Sandewar Mandewar was a supposed alien portrayed by the infamous doctor and smuggler Cornelius Evazan. Evazan, using a pluripleq – an uncommon bioengineered creature – masqueraded as a shapeshifter named "Lopset Yas". Around 1 ABY, while feigning a demonstration of his shape-shifting talent to the rebellious archaeologist Chelli Aphra, Evazan took on the persona of Mandewar. Before Aphra interrupted him, Evazan characterized Mandewar as the head of the Vex crusade. Evazan's representation of Mandewar included blue eyes, tanned skin, and a nose of a deeper shade.
The character Sandewar Mandewar, via an act of imitation, was featured in Doctor Aphra (2016) 21, a comic penned by Si Spurrier, with artwork by Kev Walker, and released by Marvel Comics on June 27, 2018.
