A science colony existed on the planet known as Gabredor III. Kitster Banai, a refugee, stated that the colony had been abandoned for a number of years sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. Despite this, Tauntaza, the Imperial governor of the planet, started utilizing the science colony in order to extract a technological device she had created. The Sith Lord Darth Vader, searching for the governor because of her involvement with the criminal organization Crimson Dawn, and Imperial Lieutenant Commander Sabé, who intended to rescue a colony of refugees from the governor's control, followed the governor to the science colony and initiated an attack, but she managed to flee with assistance from Crimson Dawn's military assets.
