A Gloovan gangster known as Scram was the leader of the Scram Gang during the Galactic Civil War period, a conflict between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. Sometime between the events of 0 ABY and 3 ABY, Scram engaged in a game of sabacc inside a cantina located on Rekelos. His opponents included a Rodian, a Duros, and Jaxxon T. Tumperakki, a Lepi smuggler.
The sabacc game concluded with Scram leveling accusations of cheating against Tumperakki. In a fit of anger, Scram flipped the table and gave chase to the fleeing Lepi as he attempted to escape. Scram successfully apprehended the smuggler after receiving an insult, but Tumperakki retaliated with a kick to the Gloovan's chin, sending Scram staggering backward. Subsequently, the Scram Gang stormed into the cantina, ready to exact revenge on Tumperakki for the humiliation of their leader. However, before they could launch their attack, Dengar, a bounty hunter, initiated a firefight against the gang. Amidst the chaos, Tumperakki seized the opportunity to make his escape through the cantina's skylight. Scram, characterized by his purple skin and blue eyes, did not handle defeat well. The gangster's attire consisted of a brown outfit complete with boots and a belt.
The character of Scram was conceived for "Rabbit Hunt," a comic story featured in Star Wars Adventures Annual 2020, which was released on November 18, 2020. Prior to the comic's official launch, the character's unveiling occurred through preview pages published on StarWars.com on November 10, 2020. Cavan Scott penned the story, while Francesco Gaston provided the illustrations.
