Selabbian roses were a variety of flower that were grown on the Starlight Beacon space station during the time of the High Republic Era. In 231 BBY, for the duration of the Republic Fair, an exhibit featuring these roses was transported to the Republic Gardens on the planet Valo, which was located in the Outer Rim, for showcasing purposes. While at the fair, OrbaLin, a Jedi archivist, delivered a detailed speech concerning the gardens' Selabbian roses to Lina Soh, the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, and the group of people visiting the fair with her. Stellan Gios, a Jedi Master, watched his Jedi associate as he spoke, his attention diverted by a disturbance_in_the_force within the Force.
The novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, which Cavan Scott wrote in 2021 as part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic project that spans multiple forms of media, featured Selabbian roses.
