Shamed Ones
The Shamed Ones constituted a unique caste among the Yuuzhan Vong. These individuals were deemed "imperfect" due to various reasons: failure within other castes, bodily rejection of implants, acts of heresy, or physical deformities. Although technically belonging to the worker caste, they faced disdain even from its members. The broader Yuuzhan Vong society considered them outcasts, rejected by the majority of their gods, restricting their worship solely to Yun-Shuno. Their presence during significant religious ceremonies was regarded as a grave offense to the deity being honored.
Following the Yuuzhan Vong's assault on Yavin 4 and the subsequent redemption of Vua Rapuung, the Shamed Ones developed a belief that the Force represented the remnants of Yun-Yuuzhan, and furthermore, that the Jedi possessed a connection to the Yuuzhan Vong. This gave rise to the Jeedai heresy, with Nom Anor adopting the persona of the prophet Yu'shaa, proclaiming that the arrival of Zonama Sekot would signal the termination of their suffering. They revolted against Supreme Overlord Shimrra and the Warrior caste, and the resulting turmoil played a crucial role in the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar. In the aftermath of the war, the Shamed Ones received a new designation: the Extolled.
