Shantillen held the rank of captain within the Navy of Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire during the Second Imperial Civil War. Around 137 ABY, Shantillen found himself posted on the Ardent-class fast frigate called the Marauder, serving as the second officer to Admiral Krion Grail in the First Coruscant Task Force.
