It wasn't until Clone Captain Rex elucidated the term that they grasped its meaning. However, following an assault by Confederacy forces, Droidbait, Hevy, and Cutup met their end, while Echo and Fives were welcomed into the renowned 501st Legion, thereby shedding their "shiny" designation, both in the literal sense due to the wear and tear on their armor, and figuratively, owing to their newfound combat experience.
