Siquay

Siquay, a gas giant, was orbited by a space dock. No earlier than 379 BBY, the Evereni siblings Vika and Velya Faer stopped at the dock orbiting Siquay to refuel their starship. During this stopover, Marda Ro, who was an Evereni and the founder of the pirates that would become the Nihil, caught up with them as she was hunting for others of her species. After starships under Ro's command surrounded the Faers' vessel, Ro invited the two Faers to board her ship, the Gaze Electric, which they accepted. In a later message to her descendants, Ro mentioned this encounter at Siquay with the Faers. By 252 BBY, Marchion Ro, her great-great-grandson, had listened to her journal as a youth, including the message referencing Siquay.

Behind the scenes

The short story "A Closed Fist Has No Claws," written by Tessa Gratton and featured in the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, included Siquay in current Star Wars canon. This anthology was part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project. The planet initially appeared in Star Wars Legends continuity as part of the Sriluur system, first mentioned in the 2004 Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, published by Wizards of the Coast.
