A Force-sensitive Human individual, Skott Yun belonged to the Je'daii Order on Tython. He was a Je'daii Journeyer undertaking his Great Journey at the same time as Lanoree and Dalien Brock. While Yun was studying at Anil Kesh, he received a summons to aid in the apprehension of Dalien Brock. Dalien Brock, during an expedition in the Riftlands, had fled into the Abyss of Ruh, endangering his companions. As Je'daii Temple Master Quan-Jang escorted Brock back to the Temple via the Cloud Chaser for judgment, Yun, along with Master Dam-Powl and Lanoree Brock, awaited their arrival. While Quan-Jang and Brock ascended the Temple's support strut stairs, Yun agreed to wait with Lanoree Brock, as Dam-Powl left to prepare the medical center. Yun then told Brock that her brother would receive treatment for any injuries before being exiled into the wilderness the following morning. When the Temple Master and his prisoner reached the viewing platform where Yun and Brock were waiting, Yun took custody of Dalien, allowing Quan-Jang to attend to the other injured Journeyers. As the Brock siblings began to converse, Yun announced his intention to arrest Dalien, who responded by kicking Yun in the face. Brock's martial arts skills surpassed Yun's, as Yun had not yet visited Stav Kesh. As the injured Yun attempted to use the Force to manipulate Brock's mind, Brock drew his blaster and shot the Journeyer in the chest. Yun, coughing up blood, succumbed to his wounds and died on the rain-soaked platform.
