Skynara system

The Skynara system, home to the planet Skynara, existed within the Skine sector of the Outer Rim Territories'. This star system, located in a region of space that was explored sometime between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY, found itself in 137 ABY within the overlapping territories of both the Galactic Alliance Remnant and Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.

Description

As part of the Skine sector in the Outer Rim Territories', the Skynara system contained the same named astronomical body. It was also the terminal point for the hyperlane known as the Five Veils Route, which provided a connection to the Elshandruu and Suarbi systems.

History

By 137 ABY, the Skynara system lay within the area of influence of the Galactic Alliance Remnant.

The space around the Skynara system saw exploration activities conducted sometime in the period between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY. Not long after the Commerce Guild took control of the planet Ukio during the Clone Wars, the Skynara system was visible on a galactic map. This map was displayed on a viewscreen at a facility managed by Passel Argente, who was the Magistrate of the Corporate Alliance.

Around 25 ABY, the Skynara system was inhabited by a population ranging from one to ten million individuals. By 137 ABY, the system had become part of the territory governed by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. Furthermore, it fell within the sphere of influence of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, a group originating from Galactic Alliance forces that chose not to yield to the Fel Empire at the conclusion of the Sith–Imperial War.

Behind the scenes

The 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas, penned by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, marked the introduction of the Skynara system, assigning it to grid square P-19. The system made its inaugural appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic by Pablo Hidalgo which was released on StarWars.com during the second season (2009–2010) of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.
