Slammer was a clone trooper pilot fighting for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. He served in the Navy's Blue Squadron. During the Battle of Ryloth, he was known as "Blue Three" while flying under the command of Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano.
Slammer, like every other clone trooper within the Republic Military, was engineered by the Kaminoans with the express intention of service to the Galactic Republic. In the year 22 BBY, using the callsign Blue Three, he and the rest of Blue Squadron were dispatched to participate in the Battle of Ryloth. The squadron, led by Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, attempted to penetrate the Separatist blockade that surrounded the planet. As Separatist reinforcements entered the system, Commander Tano, acting recklessly, delayed the squadron's retreat, ignoring orders from Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Admiral Wullf Yularen to return to the Resolute without delay.
During Blue Squadron's withdrawal to the Resolute, Slammer and several other clone trooper pilots were killed by Vulture-class droid starfighters.
Slammer's character was developed for The Clone Wars: Season One. He, along with other clone trooper pilots, appeared in the season's 19th episode, "Storm Over Ryloth."
