The Spires of Victory stood as a monument within Kaas City, the capital of the Sith Empire on the planet of Dromund Kaas. Darth Gorgos, an influential member of the Empire's governing Dark Council, commissioned the Spires following the Sacking of Coruscant, a battle that concluded the Great Galactic War against the Galactic Republic in 3653 BBY. The Empire's most skilled engineers designed the Spires, and three hundred slaves constructed them. These cascading prisms served as a symbol, representing the rise to power of the Sith and the decline of their adversaries, with the centerpiece embodying the Sith Emperor. Although her apprentice murdered Gorgos before the Spires were finished, her replacement on the Dark Council ensured the monument's completion before 3643 BBY.
Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game developed by BioWare and launched in 2011, marked the initial appearance of the Spires of Victory. A Codex entry further elaborates on their history. In the 2015 Digital Expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire, Imperial players encounter the Spires within a vision depicting a ruined Kaas City.
