Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy is a set of three novels penned by the author Chuck Wendig. The series, which began its release on September 4, 2015 with the book entitled Aftermath, presents a canonical narrative of events that transpired following Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The second and third installments of the trilogy, specifically Aftermath: Life Debt and Aftermath: Empire's End, were revealed at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2015. Shortly thereafter, it was announced that Life Debt would be launched on July 12, 2016, and Empire's End would be available on January 31, 2017; however, the latter's release was subsequently pushed back to February 21, 2017.
The short stories Blade Squadron: Zero Hour, Blade Squadron: Kuat, Turning Point, and Blade Squadron: Jakku featured in Star Wars Insider were marketed as associated works related to the novels within the Aftermath Trilogy.
