Star Wars: Starfighter: Crossbones

Star Wars: Starfighter: Crossbones is a comic book series consisting of three issues. Dark Horse Comics published it between January 9, 2002 and March 13, 2002. The setting is 24 BBY. This series is a spin-off from the popular video game Starfighter. Although it wasn't released as a standalone trade paperback, it was later included in Star Wars Omnibus: Menace Revealed.

The narrative focuses on the pirate captain Nym as he pursues his adversary Sol Sixxa on the planet Maramere.

Behind the scenes

Farlstendoiro

The original concept for Star Wars Starfighter: Crossbones stipulated that it should only feature alien characters. Ramón F. Bachs, the author, received a specific request to exclude Humans. However, he managed to persuade the rest of the team to include a single Human as a background character within the cantina scene. This Human was a caricature of Skippy Farlstendoiro, a Star Wars enthusiast who had frequently met Bachs, often disguised as a Mon Calamari. Consequently, "Farlstendoiro" was depicted alongside a Mon Calamari. Furthermore, Vana Sage (in a hologram) appeared as another human in the first issue.
