Sticks, also known as CC-1771, was a Clone Commander who fought for the Grand Army of the Republic throughout the Clone Wars. This Commander, named Sticks, fought alongside Jedi General Sivad and Sivad's Padawan during the siege on Hebekrr Minor, where they faced forces of the Separatist Alliance.
The Clone Commander's initial appearance was in E. K. Johnston's novel, Queen's Hope. Before the novel was released, on May 1, 2021, E. K. posted on Twitter asking if anyone possessed a blank template of a clone trooper for an author to use to create color designs. She further clarified the request, specifying that she needed one each for a CC and a CT.
Later that year, on September 26, E. K. shared a conversation with Jennifer Heddle about "Tiny Hulk's" illustrations of clones from Queen's Hope. This conversation touched on the clone's gear, armor designs inspired by David Bowie, and anxieties. E. K. then provided "Tiny Hulk's" drawing of the commander. In this drawing, Commander Sticks was shown with lightning bolts and a jetpack.
