Surgical pods were a form of medical apparatus found in the medical bays aboard Venator-class Star Destroyers. These sizable, internally illuminated tubes could accommodate an adult human. Each pod featured a surgical bed that could be extended or retracted. Control consoles were situated at the foot of the bed, incorporating a scomp link port on their flank. Following the implementation of Order 66, Ahsoka Tano, accompanied by R7-A7, made use of a surgical pod on the Star Destroyer Tribunal to extract the embedded inhibitor chip from Clone Commander Rex, thereby liberating him from its mind-altering influence.
