Tah'Nuhna (species)

The Tah'Nuhna, alternatively known as the Tah'Nuhnan, comprised an insectoid sentient species that originated on the Mid Rim ice-planet bearing the identical designation.

History

Upholding impartiality

Renowned as intellectuals and deep thinkers, the Tah'Nuhna had meticulously mapped the universe and successfully developed a treatment for the Iridian Plague. Their culture garnered considerable respect throughout the galaxy, with their literary artists being subjects of study within academic institutions. Furthermore, they embodied a tranquil and hospitable society, choosing to distance themselves from disputes and warfare, having successfully avoided involvement in such conflicts from the era of the Hundred-Year Darkness until the emergence of the authoritarian Galactic Empire. Their enduring stance of neutrality was acknowledged even by the Empire, which refrained from invading their world.

Annihilation

Nevertheless, this situation underwent a transformation when Commander Armitage Hux of the First Order launched an assault on Tah'Nuhna in 34 ABY. This attack occurred after the planet extended hospitality and resources to the Resistance, who sought temporary sanctuary there following their departure from Crait. As the First Order initiated its offensive, the ruler of Tah'Nuhna dispatched a plea for assistance; however, the communication reached the Resistance far too late, as Hux gave the order for space-based bombardments, which utterly devastated the planet's surface and eradicated the Tah'Nuhnan civilization. One individual of the Tah'Nuhna reflected upon their history leading up to that instant, with the belief that the planet's legacy would be remembered in a vastly different way after its destruction.
