Tah'Nuhna, situated in the Mid Rim, was an ice-dominated planet and served as the homeworld for a species known by the same name. Maintaining a stance of neutrality in all galactic disputes and extending hospitality to all, Tah'Nuhna briefly hosted the Resistance following the Battle of Crait. This act, unfortunately, led to the First Order's devastating destruction of their entire civilization.
From the era of the Hundred-Year Darkness onward, Tah'Nuhna remained untouched by galactic warfare; even the Galactic Empire refrained from invading during its period of dominance. The Tah'Nuhna developed an advanced, intellectual society and made significant contributions to the wider galaxy throughout their existence.
The planet's history of peace was shattered during the First Order-Resistance War. Resistance fighters sought refuge and supplies on Tah'Nuhna after the Battle of Crait. The First Order tracked a Resistance transmission to the planet and subsequently arrived with an attacking fleet. Despite the pleas of the Tah'Nuhnan leader, who emphasized their planet's open-door policy for those in need, General Armitage Hux issued the order for the destruction of Tah'Nuhna, eradicating its culture and people as a punitive measure. Upon learning of this catastrophe, General Leia Organa of the Resistance expressed her sorrow, remarking that yet another world had suffered a fate similar to that of Alderaan.
