Talsma was a captain of the human species. In approximately 21 BBY, Senator Padmé Amidala disembarked from a starship within a hangar located on the planet of Naboo, and Talsma was there. The captain's purpose was to provide an escort for the senator, leading her to her residence. However, Amidala declined Talsma's offer to accompany her to her residence, as she had plans to attend Tomarian's Annual Festival of Light Gala. Instead, the senator requested that Talsma ensure her ship's crew received safe passage home. The captain then agreed to the request, dispatching the C1-series astromech droid, known as C1-1KR, to accompany Amidala on her walk to the gala.
Talsma's physical description included dark skin and short hair that was a mix of purple and black. When greeting Amidala, Talsma was wearing a tan and gold outfit, complemented by a blue overcoat and black pants. Completing their attire were gray boots and gloves, along with a helmet that they carried.
Talsma made an appearance in "The Incident, Part 1," a comic story penned by Katie Cook, featuring illustrations created by Cara McGee and Brittany Peer. IDW Publishing released the story on June 23, 2021, within the fifth issue of the Star Wars Adventures comic series.
