A human singer of the female persuasion, Taybin Ralorsa, entertained patrons at Maz Kanata's castle, a haven for pirate activity. This occurred about three decades following the Battle of Endor. She was a member of the band known as [Shag Kava], performing alongside Infrablue Zedbeddy Coggins, Ubert Quaril, and Sudswater Dillifay Glon. During one of their sets, Kanata noticed her longtime acquaintance Han Solo entering her establishment and called out to him, stopping the music. Shag Kava restarted their performance, only to be cut short once more when many of the castle's inhabitants hurried outside to observe the destruction of the Hosnian system. This destruction was caused by the First Order's superweapon, Starkiller Base. Soon after, the First Order attacked the castle, resulting in its destruction. Ralorsa possessed dark skin and black hair.
The character of Taybin Ralorsa originated in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, a film that premiered on December 18, 2015. Her identity was confirmed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, a companion book authored by Pablo Hidalgo that was released alongside the movie.
