Infrablue Zedbeddy Coggins was a Zenezian musician with brown skin and a male identity, notable for his skill with the hypolliope horn cluster. Approximately three decades following the Battle of Endor, Coggins was a performer at Maz Kanata's castle, a pirate's stronghold, as a member of the band known as Shag Kava. His fellow bandmates included Taybin Ralorsa, Ubert Quaril, and Sudswater Dillifay Glon. During their performance, Kanata noticed the arrival of the smuggler Han Solo and called out to him, which caused the band to momentarily stop playing. Their performance was restarted, but soon disrupted once more as numerous residents of the castle rushed outside to witness the destruction of the Hosnian system caused by the First Order's Starkiller Base superweapon. Subsequently, the forces of the First Order attacked and destroyed the castle.
Infrablue Zedbeddy Coggins was originally conceived for the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Although the alien's identity remained unknown in the film, he was given a name in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary. This reference book, authored by Pablo Hidalgo, was released on the same day as the movie. Kiran Shah portrayed Coggins, and also played the roles of Pru Sweevant and Teedo.
