The Tekshar Falls Casino, a gambling establishment, was situated in Kuat City, which served as the capital for the planet of Kuat. This casino was an architectural wonder, ingeniously integrated into the Tekshar Falls. Its interior was lavishly designed, boasting luxurious suites, upscale dining, and sabacc tables where gamblers could engage in their chosen play.
In the year 40 ABY, Boba Fett, accompanied by his granddaughter Mirta Gev, made a visit to the Tekshar Falls Casino. Their objective was to gather intelligence concerning the whereabouts of the bounty hunter Jaing Skirata. Within one of the casino's exclusive suites, the two Mandalorians convened with the gangster known as Fraig. However, the meeting rapidly escalated into a confrontation when Fett, in an attempt to force Fraig's cooperation, hung him from the suite's balcony. After obtaining a clue about Skirata's location, Fett and Gev made their escape from the Tekshar Falls using their jetpacks, promptly leaving Kuat.
The Tekshar Falls Casino, a structure built into the cliff face beneath the famous Tekshar Falls, was in Kuat City, the capital of the Core World planet Kuat. It was a blend of constructed materials and natural stone. The five-hundred-meter high, man-made waterfall served as a grand entrance to the casino, requiring potential gamblers to walk down a tree-lined boulevard to the base of the falls and then cross a footbridge through the wall of water. Motion sensors triggered automated force fields that parted the downpour on approach, creating a wide, dry portal in the falls for guests to pass through. Several turret outcroppings extended through the falls from the casino, and the rushing waterfall also provided hydroelectric power to the Tekshar.
Past the falls entrance, the Tekshar was warm, dry, and brightly lit. The lobby was lavishly decorated with flocked wall coverings, thick purple carpeting, gilding, numerous mirrors, and soft lighting. A front desk staffed by a steward greeted guests, and the lobby split into two sections, one leading to the Tekshar Falls' restaurant and the other to the gambling tables. The Tekshar's restaurant offered a wine list with a number of selections. Above the lobby, over thirteen floors filled with suites, salons, and gaming tables were accessible by turbolift. Suites at the Tekshar Falls Casino could be furnished with gilt-framed sabacc tables, beverage-stocked kitchens, and a railed balcony overlooking Kuat City, kept dry by an overhang that diverted the water from the falls, accessible through transparisteel doors.
The Tekshar Falls Casino, constructed by Tirual Construction Holdings in Kuat City in the years leading up to the Second Galactic Civil War, gained renown as a Kuati engineering marvel for its use of the Tekshar Falls as a water feature. At that time, the reigning Mand'alor Boba Fett held shares in the casino through his investments in Tirual Construction Holdings.
In 40 ABY, Fett and his granddaughter Mirta Gev were searching for the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jaing Skirata. After learning from the bartender of the Paradise Cantina on Kuat's moon, Bador, that Skirata had killed a gangster named Cherit, they were directed to the Tekshar Falls Casino to speak with Cherit's former associate and Skirata's potential employer, L. Fraig. Following this lead to Kuat City, Fett and Gev visited the Tekshar. After checking in with the casino's front desk, a Trandoshan footman escorted the pair to the Tekshar's thirteenth floor, where they met with Fraig in his private suite. Despite Fett's attempts to persuade the gangster to share information about Skirata, violence erupted when Fraig was uncooperative, and Fett hung him from the balcony to intimidate him. Fraig revealed what he knew under duress, but Fett and Gev were forced to flee the casino and Fraig's guards over the balcony using their jetpacks.
The Tekshar Falls Casino made its debut in the novel Sacrifice, the fifth installment in the multi-author Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series, penned by Karen Traviss and released on May 29, 2007.
