The Sith spirit known as The Entity was once enslaved by Darth Baras. Her abilities of precognition and farseeing were instrumental in facilitating Baras's rise to power and his subsequent ascension to the Dark Council. It is said that centuries prior to the Great Galactic War, the Entity nearly achieved galactic conquest and almost annihilated the Jedi Order. According to Darth Vowrawn, she was as ancient as the Force itself and a direct manifestation of the dark side.
Prior to the Galactic War that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Sith Empire, Darth Baras managed to bind the Entity to his service on Corellia. He exploited the spirit's power, stealing her visions of the future to consolidate his influence within the Empire. The Entity deeply resented this exploitation, but Baras's powerful enchantments rendered her helpless to resist.
Darth Vowrawn, a Dark Councilor, somehow learned of Darth Baras's enslavement of the Entity. He dedicated an unknown duration to devising a means of freeing her from Baras's control. Although he eventually discovered how to liberate the Sith spirit, the opportunity to do so did not arise until years later, with the arrival of the second Emperor's Wrath, Baras's former apprentice. Vowrawn remained skeptical of the former apprentice's intentions until he was attacked by Darth Baras's assassin on Corellia, during which the Wrath protected him. This event ultimately led to an assault on Baras's base on Corellia. Upon reaching the Entity's chamber, they were confronted by Draahg, now a cyborg, who employed a death field against Vowrawn to prevent him from freeing the spirit. The Entity revealed to the Wrath that Draahg's cybernetics were powering the death field, and that his death would disable it. After a protracted and brutal battle, the Wrath decapitated Draahg, freeing Vowrawn. Before releasing the Entity, Vowrawn made her confirm that Baras was witnessing everything through her, suspecting that he was consumed by rage. Once freed, the Entity instructed the Wrath to convey her regards to Baras before returning to the Force.
