The 12-page comic, The Hovel on Terk Street, was featured in Star Wars Tales 6. The writing was a collaboration between Tom Fassbender and Jim Pascoe, while the artwork was a combined effort by Eric Powell, Drew Geraci, Keith Barnett, and Dave Stewart. The events of the story unfold around 1 BBY. Its place in canon was secured through Unusual Suspects, an article published in Star Wars Gamer 6.
One evening, Greedo is shown drinking by himself in a cantina, contemplating his unfortunate circumstances. He is approached by Nima Maas, who works for Temo Dionisio, a politician secretly supporting the Rebellion. Nima hires Greedo, offering a sufficient amount of credits, to find Temo. Greedo begins his search, first questioning Kabe, a frequent visitor of the cantina, who directs him to Wuher. Wuher informs Greedo that Temo was last seen in the company of Nok Derrick, a local resident. Greedo locates Derrick at a nearby gambling establishment, but Derrick unexpectedly overpowers the Rodian, rendering him unconscious and stealing his credits and blaster. Consequently, Greedo is compelled to purchase a low-quality (and faulty) blaster from a group of Jawas. He follows Derrick to the hovel mentioned in the title, where he is surprised by a Gamorrean. After a quick fight, he defeats the Gamorrean by breaking its neck. Upon entering the hovel, he discovers Derrick is torturing Temo to extract information about the Rebel Alliance. Greedo steps in, using a thermal detonator to knock Derrick unconscious before freeing Temo and escaping as the detonator explodes. Outside, Nima reveals herself to be an Imperial agent, tasked with locating and eliminating Temo. Despite his displeasure at being manipulated by the Empire, Greedo initially decides to leave Temo to his fate. However, Nima decides that Greedo knows too much and plans to kill him as well. Greedo then reveals a hidden blade, which he throws, killing Nima. In the end, Greedo departs, intending to find the Jawas who sold him the defective blaster.
