The Throne of the Sith, alternatively known as the Dark Throne, served as the Sith throne on Exegol. It resided inside the Sith Citadel's chamber for Sith loyalists. As the Galactic Emperor and the current Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious intended this throne to be his everlasting seat of authority, envisioning an enduring Sith Empire. During the Battle of Exegol, Rey annihilated the throne, simultaneously destroying Darth Sidious.
The 2019 movie Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker marked the Throne of the Sith's initial appearance, as the third movie within the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The Dark Throne shares resemblances with conceptual sketches of the Emperor's Throne Room, featured in Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie. These sketches, created in 1981 by Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, were originally conceived for the 1983 movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
