During the time of the Galactic Civil War, in the Battle on the Frontier, Station NL-1 was assaulted by a pair of Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transports belonging to flight group Thunder of the Rebel Alliance. As part of the initial assault wave in the culminating engagement between the Rebel and Pakuuni schemers and Vice Admiral Thrawn's force—comprising Platform NL-1, the Nebulon-B2 frigate Ludwick, a pair of System Patrol Craft, and a collection of various starfighters—Thunder joined the fray. Following a fierce aerial conflict, Imperial starfighters, supported by NL-1, annihilated the Thunder transports along with their fellow Rebels.
