During 3 BBY, he encountered Sabine Wren and Garazeb Orrelios, who had been dispatched to Thune to recover weapon crates and starship components for the rebellion against the Empire. Despite having the assistance of four henchmen and a Gruthic Winged Beast, Garbis was unsuccessful in overcoming the two rebels, and returned to his father, who was enraged, without the items he was tasked to retrieve.
