Following the Galactic Empire's seizure of the planet, the Empire confiscated the item, which subsequently ended up in the hands of Moff Ssaria, who was the governor overseeing the sector containing Castell. During the year 0 ABY, the smuggler Lando Calrissian persuaded Ssaria to relinquish the item to him. Calrissian then gave the item back to Toren, hoping this would resolve his outstanding debt. However, after the exchange, Toren's interpreter revealed to Calrissian that the item's return only covered a mere ten percent of the total debt owed.
