Ssaria, a female human, was a moff in service to the Galactic Empire, holding the position of governor for the sector encompassing the planet of Castell. The inhabitants of Castell considered her methods of enforcing the desires of the Emperor, Sheev Palpatine, to be exceptionally harsh, resulting in the grim epithets of the Fiend of Castell and the Burning Moff.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Ssaria, a human female, was a member of the Galactic Empire. She attained the high-ranking position of Moff and governed the sector containing the planet Castell. She implemented the Emperor, Sheev Palpatine's, commands with extreme force during the Imperial occupation of Castell. Her actions resulted in the people of Castell giving her such nicknames as "the Fiend of Castell" and "the Burning Moff."
Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, Ssaria engaged in a romantic relationship with Lando Calrissian. One day, while in her quarters on Castell with Calrissian, he expressed admiration for a small trinket, prompting her to ask what he found so interesting. Calrissian admitted his intention to steal the item to settle his debts. Ssaria then brandished a blaster pistol and pointed it at him. Calrissian continued, stating that he ultimately couldn't steal it, knowing Ssaria would deploy troopers to find him and that news of her lover's betrayal would become public knowledge. Calrissian successfully persuaded her to allow him to leave with the trinket, which he subsequently returned to Papa Toren to repay his debt.
Ssaria held unwavering loyalty to the Emperor and his governance of the galaxy, viewing herself as an instrument to execute his will. Despite the perception of her tactics as brutal by the inhabitants of Castell, she remained indifferent to the reputation she acquired.
