Towl functioned as a GNikto Nihil Strike subordinate to the Storm Jinnix within Pan Eyta's Tempest. He met his end at the hands of the Twi'lek mercenary known as Lourna Dee amidst the raid in the Abrion sector.
The character Towl was presented via flashbacks in the audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, released in 2021. Cavan Scott authored the drama, which was performed by a complete ensemble of voice actors.
